Danielle Winston is a writer/director driven by what lurks beneath the surface of characters and their lives. She digs into the minds of her characters to explore their psychological barriers and hidden motivations. Often New York's backdrop becomes a vivid character in her works. Along with Winston's quirky sense of humor, reoccurring elements in her screenplays are artists and hints of the supernatural. She wrote and directed the suspense thriller short, HANDS OF FATE. The story also inspired a television series and feature screenplay, BROKEN BEAUTIES. Theatrically, Winston has written and directed several one act plays, produced at local theatres, some have won audience choice awards. For children, her fantastical animated series, Betsy Green Bean. Winston also works as a freelance writer. Her articles and interviews are regularly published in regional and national magazines.
