I’m originally from Silver Spring, Maryland and I’m first generation American. Both my parents are from Ghana, and if you ask my mom she’ll tell you I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I don’t know if I believe her, but after a couple years of soul searching and studying business at Syracuse University, I finally came to that conclusion and dropped out of college à la Kanye West to travel to France, South Africa and Hawaii. Upon my return to the States, I transferred to the Savannah College of Art and Design where I graduated with a BA in Dramatic Writing. Since graduation, I’ve been working my way up in the TV writing world. I first worked as a writer’s assistant on MTV's Sweet/Vicious. I then had a great experience as a staff writer on an upcoming YouTube Red show, Me and My Grandma, starring Rhea Perlman and Eva Gutowski. I love shows like Orange Is The New Black, Atlanta and Mozart in the Jungle. I look forward to a long career in the TV industry and to eventually becoming a showrunner on my own show.
