SYNOPSIS:

Holiday Screenplay Contest top 5 finalist.

Nick Flours is an easy going 4th grade music teacher and single father of 3 daughters. His childhood nemesis, Thomas Bird Thomas (a.k.a. “T-Bird”), is an overgrown man-child who sells tires and is a married father of 3 sons. Out of all the kids in high school, their two oldest children are dating and are the most popular couple in town. That is until an unexpected break up sends the entire school into a social media fueled frenzy searching for the answer as to “who dumped who?” T-Bird is elated until soon after the breakup, he finds out that Nick dented his beloved truck, which he believes was no accident. T-Bird is out for revenge, which sets in motion a series of hilarious back and forth antics with each man trying to get the best of the other. During the feud, several comedic moments unfold including a bumbling Elf-On-The Shelf scavenger hunt, a run-in with the locally renowned Jesus Christ Christmas Carolers, and a fight with a Salvation Army Bell Ringer. Meanwhile, Nick has other problems. A youtube video he posted of his 4th grade Christmas musical rehearsal has gone viral giving pretentious Superintendent, Mr. Powers, the perfect excuse to demand Nick’s resignation and permanently cancel the music program for breaking district policy. That is until the town Mayor gets wind of the video and turns the program into the biggest political event the town has ever seen that could not only save Nick’s job, but also the entire district’s music program. On top of that, Nick’s youngest daughter wants nothing more than to give Santa a special present. The problem? She will only give her present to the “real” Santa which proves to be a much more difficult task than Nick could ever anticipate. In front of 600 of the town’s VIPs, T-Bird sabotages Nick’s Christmas program. Nick attacks T-Bird resulting in total mayhem. Meanwhile, Nick’s youngest daughter slips out to a nearby train yard to hitch a ride to the North Pole to deliver her present – an idea she got from watching the Frosty the Snowman cartoon special. As the chaos unfolds, Nick’s oldest daughter pronounces she dumped T-Bird’s son to pursue her dream of becoming a singer, ending the chaos. Soon after they learn that Nick’s youngest daughter has gone missing. Everyone scrambles to find her but ultimately it’s T-Bird and his twin sons who find her in the train yard and triumphantly return her to Nick safe and sound. As Nick thanks T-Bird, Mr. Powers pulls Nick into a private room and not only fires him, but states his intention to cancel the music program insulting the Mayor in the process. Unknown to Mr. Powers, the entire conversation is overheard by the Mayor through a mic attached to Nick’s jacket. The Mayor fires the Superintendent and promotes Nick to District Director of the Arts. With the sparring behind them, Nick and T-Bird begin an unlikely friendship as their oldest children patch things up.
