GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE:

The SVU team investigate a case involving the topic of bisexuality within the Generation X society when two women find a murder victim on the streets in a neighborhood in Greenwich Village.

SYNOPSIS:

In Greenwich Village, two women come across a murdered man laying in the street with his head propped up on a curb and some of the back of his head is missing. Minutes later, Fin and Carisi are on the scene and question the two women. The women tell the officers that the victim was named Paul Mason, the husband of famed soap actress, Carla Mason who is a cast member on a popular Generation X soap titled "Love In New York". The women also tell the officers that they are fans of Carla's character, Faith Matthews, a bisexual Goth.

Fin and Carisi head back to the 16th Precinct and give the details of the murder to Benson and Rollins. Olivia asks her detectives for more details about the actress and her involvement in the show. Carisi answers the question in great detail. Olivia then asks him to get an episode of the show. Carisi does just that. Moments later, they watch an episode of the show on the television and Carla Mason/Faith Matthews is in the scene the officers are watching.

After the end of the scene, a discussion about the actress among the officers takes place. Then, Benson instructs Rollins and Carisi to go to the residence of Carla Mason and let her know that her husband was murdered.

Later, Rollins and Carisi are on the porch and they are standing in front of the front door of Carla Mason. As the door opens, Carla is surprised to see the officers at her home. The officers introduce themselves and Carisi asks if they could come inside. Carla agrees and invites the officers inside and when they enter, Carla closes the door and joins the officers in the living room. Rollins, after taking a deep breath, sadly explains why she and her partner are at her home and tells her that her husband was brutally murdered in Greenwich Village. Carla is devastated. The officers feel her pain, but they are not surprised at Carla's reaction.

Then, throughout the story, there are a lot of bizarre twists as the SVU team investigate the case a little deeper.
