A Jukebox Musical centered on country music (loosely based on the movie Rhinestone), a popular country music singer bets her manager she can turn a punk-lover into the next Loretta Lynn.

SYNOPSIS:

Loosely based on the plot of the movie Rhinestone (1984), Joyce Davis is a popular singer at the New Orleans country music-themed club she performs in. She is anxious to get her own big shot in the music business, but she has several strikes against her, the which is that she's trapped in a contract with the club's owner, Mike Crosby, whose late dad first signed Joyce as a client when she was a struggling singer.

The nightclub is struggling to find entertainment, and Mike is having trouble finding new acts for his club Finally, Joyce makes a bet with Mike that she can not only find better talent but she can make a country singer out of the next random person who enters the club. That person turns out to be Katie Jackson, the assistant of a popular local TV personality. There is just one problem, not only does Katie not know that much about country music, but she is a punk rocker and, as far as she is concerned, those are two different worlds.
