About Lars

Danish-born filmmaker Lars Fuchs came to the United States as an infant in the ’60’s, and has made New York City his home ever since. He has nearly 30 years’ experience as a film and television editor, in Europe, Asia, the United States, and Puerto Rico. He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy award for the home design show "While You Were Out". He earned an MFA from the City College of New York in Media Arts Production in 2013. His "Honk! Honk!", a short comedy starring Bob Clendenin, has played is several festivals around the world. "i live In Life", a short documentary, has won several Best Short Documentary prizes, as well as a Best Director award. His most recent project “Food City: Feast of the Five Boroughs” co-directed with Matthew Fleischmann won Best Documentary at the 2017 Blackbird Film Festival, and continues to screen at festivals around the world.

Honk! Honk! (2016)
Film (short) by Klipper Writer/Director Aspiring filmmaker Lars has finally shot the film he’s dreamed of for years, a comedy about a mild-mannered man pushed to the limits by the cruelties of life in the big city. Unfortunately, the results just aren’t as good as he’d hoped, and no matter how hard his editor Jordan tries, Lars won’t accept reality. When Jordan has finally had enough, Lars’ own worst critic, his alter-ego and nemesis, steps in to set Lars straight and show him to end his film. But Lars isn’t taking that lying down.

While You Were Out (2002)
