William Butler

William Butler is a producer-writer-director with over twenty-five years of experience, responsible for creating hundreds of hours of award-winning film and television productions.

He has been fortunate enough to shoot in virtually every state of the union and in many countries around the world, from Hawaii to Rome.

Butler got his start as a productive special-projects producer for Saban Entertainment and Fox Family Channel - where he wrote, produced and directed dozens of productions including, narrative live-action, animation, music videos, commercials, promotional spots and even live-action touring shows.

After his seven-year contract role with Saban ended, Butler began a twelve year working relationship with the Walt Disney Company, where he created many original shorts, programming and series, including Disney “Get Connected” and the long running “Disney Game On”. Butler’s Disney Channel creations have generated of millions of dollars in merchandise sales revenue.

Other motion pictures he’s written, produced and directed include “Madhouse” for Lakeshore/Lion’s Gate, “Furnace” for Melee/Genius, Demonic Toys for Amazon, Return of the Living Dead 4/5 and the comedy pilot Waffle Hut starring Wendi McClendon Covey of Bridesmaids

He recently ended his two-year, first-look deal at Starz Film Roman, where he served as Head of Development.
