About Carolyn

Carolyn Pierre-Outlar is a physician assistant turned producer and screenwriter from New York City. Her career in medicine inspired her first project — digital series comedy “Rhonda Mitchell M.D.” — which received the Peach Theater Award for Best Web Series of 2018 and remains active on the festival circuit. It was nominated for Best Writing at the 2019 Everybody Digital Film Festival, Best Comedy at the 2019 Hip Hop Film Festival, Best Web Series at the 2019 Ocktober Film Festival, Best TV or Web Series Episode at the 2019 Atlanta Comedy Film Festival, and ranked 8th in Black Talent TV's list of the "21 Best Web Series to Watch in 2019." The series was also a finalist in 2020's Yes…and Laughter competition sponsored by Comedy Central.

Carolyn is co-founder and CEO of Pierre Outlar Entertainment LLC, a multimedia production company that she started with her husband, Jerome, and currently has several projects in development, including the third season of "Rhonda Mitchell M.D." She is a proud member of New York Women in Film and Television and received her MFA in Creative Writing from Full Sail University in 2016.
