Jun Kuang

Jun Kuang (JK) was born and raised in Hunan province, China. Following his dream of making motion pictures, he graduated from the renowned Communication University of China (Nanjing) with a Bachelor of Arts in Television and Film. In his sophomore year, JK decided to further his education overseas and was accepted by the University of North Texas’ Master of Arts in Film Critical Studies program. After graduation, JK accepted a job as an editor on the successful BIBLE EXPERIENCE and decided to make Los Angeles his home. In an effort to expand his base of knowledge and contacts, JK enrolled in the prestigious New York Film Academy, where he graduated with honor and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking in 2015.
JK gained early visual story telling skills in television, and worked for GBS, one of the largest media corporations in China. While there, he had the opportunity to edit an episode of a television series which went on to become the highest audience rating in the show’s history.
JK is also known for his language interpretation ability between English and Chinese. His interpretation skills have earned him opportunities to work with several different artists and companies, such as Xinliang Gong and Magilm.
Enjoying creating original content and symbolic visual images, JK is currently developing two feature film scripts. BROOKESVILLE – his thesis movie reached $16,000 on , one of the largest crowdfunding websites in China. The movie was also official selections of Cannes Film Festival and Palm Spring Film Festival. JK joined Datang Brilliant Media Corp in June, 2016 as a film producer. He currently resides in Los Angeles and prepares to launch his first feature film.
