About Paulo

Hello, my name is Paulo Bazzo and I am a Content Producer and Filmmaker. I have recently finished my Masters in Film and TV Production at the University of Birmingham, and I am now looking to be part of a team that will be planning and executing marketing strategies through ways of content creation.
My show reel can be found at ()

Over the years I have been involved in a variety of briefs throughout my years of study, which helped me to understand many different concepts when designing for both print and digital platforms. Collaboration with other creative members and liaising with clients was essential for the success of these projects.
I use After Effects daily, recent in one of my latest animations I have produced an entire project using techniques inside, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro. ()

Over this last year of study at University, and my recent placement with Project Birmingham, I have gained the experience of how to plan for interviews, liaising with clients before and during production, record interviews using a multi-cam setup, sync audio in post-production, colour correct and delivering a final project. ().

In addition, during the 2015 Flatpack Film Festival () I have worked together with the Creative Director and three other students to produce a documentary based on the public engagement of the exhibition. On this project I have also worked as a motion designer, creating title sequences that introduced the artist being interviewed ().

Prior to this experience, I have always looked for other ways to promote myself as a Designer and collaborate with other organizations, helping them solve their problems. In one of these collaborations, I have worked for Marco Pierre White Restaurant to produce an employee magazine that would inform staff and visitors of news and updates on the company and the menu. (). Other times I would design logos of products () and illustrations ().

During my Bachelors studies, I have been involved in numerous projects which have involved me touching aspects of PR, Marketing, and Design; and also it was where I read books like "Hot Button Marketing" by Barry Feig, and The Art of Immersion by Frank Rose, learning about how to captivate people in sales and produce appealing content and advertising.

I am familiar with different kinds of content creation, video production techniques and elaboration of strategies that help in the production of engaging content to target audience.

My undergraduate experience made me capable of taking briefs from concept to final product, my experience as a motion graphic designer at Second Home Studios have made me able to work under tight deadlines and while reaching targets.

I have experience in using Facebook Pixel, as I have used it on my own website to generate traffic on some of the blog posts I created. Also, I know how to work with Google Analytics to understand how the audience has been using the website so I can optimize design and SEO results.

I am always striving to find better and simpler solutions to accomplish tasks, by keeping a record on how I approach problems, help me to produce my own procedures so I can save time in future projects. I enjoy making myself aware of new tools and trends that are coming out, so I can stay at the very top my game as a content producer, I do this by following Siggraph, D&AD, and other design exhibitions.

I try to always produce videos that can cause an impact on the viewer, inspiring them to take action. With the help of motion graphics and animations, I enjoy transforming dense texts of information into a simple and visually appealing explanatory video. On my final project for University, I was asked to produce a 25 minutes Documentary, which I chose to make about how Birmingham has evolved over the centuries, and explore the reasons why Birmingham has transformed into a multicultural city it is today.

I consider myself a friendly and focus person who can work as an individual or together with a team. I am efficient in using After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop and Cinema 4D. I am familiar with kinetic text and animation presents used on After Effects to produce dynamic typographic videos.

Working in a team environment I am capable of being a dynamic person when needed, ready to share ideas and my opinion, helping the team brainstorm solutions to solve problems. I can also be autonomous and creative focused when deadlines are near, making sure projects are finished within high standards.

I have decided to study film and TV production because I love to share stories and produce engaging content that connects and reveals to the audience something they were not aware before. It would be a great pleasure to assist your team reach its next step in evolution through my creative and technical abilities.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Kind regards,

Paulo Bazzo.
