SYNOPSIS:

Set in the backdrop of the Gold Rush, a wise-cracking Sheriff and his terse Deputy must assist in the ambush of a convoy bearing loads of gold stolen by bandits that will inevitably pass through their small village. Rhonda Barnes, a gold miner whose husband was murdered, escapes the initial ambush which lost her the gold she worked so hard for and her husband whom she loved. She is imprisoned after taking revenge on the men responsible for killing her husband. The town of Gold Trail Pass is on edge in light of these recent events, and stagecoach robberies. Sheridan Thomas, the Sheriff of the small town, is approached by Senator Gilmore who requests his help in retrieving the gold back from the bandits who stole it from the gold miners. Sheridan and his deputy, Jane Smith, must balance the weight placed on their shoulders between the crimes committed in their town, housing Rhonda Barnes in their jail, and the impending ambush on the gold convoy they have been called upon to assist with.
