Actor Paul Ogola played 'Jela' in the Netflix series Sense 8, another Netflix series Sacred Games, played 'Billy' in the Texas Horror film Blood Fest, 'Mikey' in Kati Kati (first film in Kenya to win the FIPRESCI award at the Toronto International Film Festival), Stories of Our Lives, Tuko Macho Tv series, Nairobi Half Life (an award winning film), and online short films like Heartshot and Sibini. He also wrote, directed and edited his first short film "Kisasi" in 2018, available on YouTube for free.
The Kenyan born actor first started performing in a church based group called Galaxy players. On turning professional Paul hit the big stages of Kenya National Theatre playing diverse roles in shows like "Panga Puff Girls", a play by Heartstrings Kenya. Not long after he landed his first major role in "Nairobi Law". This was quickly followed by the award winning "Nairobi Half Life" (2012) where he played the gangster role of Moses, and more recently he featured on the upcoming German and Kenyan film Lusala.
Born on August 20 1990 in Nairobi Kenya, Paul is beginning to attract attention internationally with the global success of Sense 8 created by J Michael Straczynski, Andy & Lana Wachowski the makers of the Matrix Trilogy.
