Filming has been a passion since about 1970. In those days it was in 8mm film then Super 8. I won awards from best documentary “Wellington Impossible” to “Kodak Top 5” best films for NZ (any category) with “Food For Thought”.

I took on small paid filming jobs during those years from documenting kennel clubs annual shows to recording yacht races and filming weddings, but this was all back in the 70’s.

Non filmmaking work commitments kept me away from filmmaking for many years, but I continued with his life on the other side of the camera as television continuity announcer with TV1. New Zealand’s premier channel. I hosted a TV quiz show “Take Off” also for TV1. There have been roles on Hercules and Xena and leads for a number of TV commercials one of which is still playing today..

In 2009 I embarked on a full time Filmmaking course. My second film on completing the course was called “Antonio’s Secret” A fictional story set in Christchurch after the devastating earthquakes there. The film won the Best Director award and Best Actor award at Magic Film festival in Las Vegas.

In 2013 I completed "Life is for Living" which won Best International Short film and Audience Choice award for best Short Film at the BBFF in Oklahoma USA. "International Short Film of Outstanding Excellence" at IFFECH and "Golden World award" at WFA. 2017 "

Awards for film Presentiment" included Platinum Remi Award at WorldFest-Houston, Best Screenplay at Widescreen film festival in Miami also nominated for Best Editing, Best NZ Filmmaker and Best Music Score award at Auckland International Film Festival. Best International Short Film at the Hollywood Boulevard film Festival. My first full length feature film was "No Turning Back" it is scheduled for worldwide release in June 2020. Awards so far have been:
Winner of Best Feature Film at Apulia Webfest (Italy) . It was a Special Jury Remi Award winner at WorldFest Houston, a winner of H. G. Wells Best Sci Fi feature film at West Coast Film Festival and Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Soundtrack and Best Visual FX at Royal Woolf Awards. It was a Diamond Winner for the screenplay at IIFA in California. Best Original Song and special mention for vfx at Florence Film Awards. Finalist for Best International Feature Film at United States Film Festival. Best Producer and Best Drama along with finalist for best acting ensemble at Oniros Film Awards. Award of Excellence at Accolade Film Awards.
