THE SCOOTER - SHORT

LOGLINE: Nine year old Mickey, a product of the electronic age, reluctantly discovers the wonderment of building something with his own hands, and Grandpa might just be a pretty cool guy after all.

SYNOPSIS:

A reluctant Mickey is forced to spend the day with his Grandpa who wants to spend the day building a scooter from wood. At first Mickey is bored but slowly becomes intrigued with the project, then excited. This ultra-short 2 page script packs a lot into its small package. This script is available free to right person.

I like this too and I can get your visualizations I just tend to wonder if some might find it complicated such as a shaving of wood to make the next shaving smaller. I like the concept but why and what for? Of course in a just a couple of pages it is hard to get full intent. But yet is as an old polished screenwriter is switching places with a kid in the world of screenwriting. LOL!

HI Mitchell, I'm glad you liked it! I took a local screenwriting course and although it was too basic for me I had fun and I did learn a couple of things. One of our assignments was to write a "one minute" movie, a short script 1-2 pages only. It was a challenge since I normally think in feature length films. I've been a wood worker for more then 20years and with the right plane sharpened well I think it wouldn't be too hard. Thanks again!
