Michael Coburn

I won my first writing award in third grade, received honors in high school for creative writing, theatre, directing and acting. I moved to LA in 1980 with the intention of writing screenplays but made the mistake of taking my girlfriend who became homesick. I didn't have the nerve to put her on a bus and so I brought her back to Detroit, where I got a job in the automotive industry and pursued a Bachelors Degree with an English Major.

A couple years ago I decided it was time to pursue this lifelong passion and so I began studying Syd Field, Joseph Campbell, Blake Snyder, Linda Seger, David Trottier, William C. Martell and others. The White Rhino is my third screenplay and the first that I'm actively trying to sell. I've been told by those who have read it that it is a good story. Minor details: married 25 years (NOT to the woman I brought back from LA), avid weight lifter, wine drinker and worshipper of the sun and water.
