Taylor Hill

My earliest memories are of watching films by myself whenever I had the chance. I studied them even though at the time I thought I was just being entertained. I believe in the power of cinema because I’ve witnessed it in my own life. It fueled my imagination with its scope of vision and enhanced my empathy for my fellow human being by continually placing me within the stories of a diverse range of individuals. This process has continued to mold me to this very day.

I spent many years wanting to be a screenwriter primarily but I’m unfortunately too aware of just how uninteresting I am and I refuse to bore an audience. I’m much more comfortable standing in the middle of the chaos that is production; just so long as I have a camera and a team of passionate, tenacious artists with me.

I’ve been trying to get into film school for the last two years but it’s just not in the financial cards for me. I looked into this particular program because it was the only online institution I came across that preached the importance of collaboration and community in this art form.

I readily admit that I have so much to learn about the craft of filmmaking. But I have an unbridled passion to do so, and I’m hoping to connect with individuals who have that same fire burning within them.
