About Renata

With an eye towards directing, Renata committed to a four year acting program at the renowned Playhouse West School & Repertory Theatre in Los Angeles under the tutelage of veteran actor Jeff Goldblum, believing that in order to get a great performance a director should understand the actors journey.

She has since directed her first feature film, 9 short films, an 8 part Film Noir style Web Series, and has been involved with film production for the past 14 years. Renata has worked on a myriad of indie features with such stars as Cuba Gooding Jr., James Franco, Ron Pearlman, and Morgan Fairchild, as well as working for the FOX reality show Trading Spouses. She is currently writing an intriguing a 3 part dramatic feature series set in the 17th century titled "THE TORN TRILOGY".

"I continue to act. It is such a pleasure after the demands of directing. My acting has illuminated my directing, as well as directing has illuminated my acting, so it is a wonderful dynamic to have to keep upping your game. I have recently purchased the screen rights to direct my next feature "Stand The Gaff" that touches on veteran issues told from the woman's perspective and my feature directorial debut of the teen thriller "What's Eating Todd?" distributed by Indican Pictures is currently available on Amazon.com, iTunes, and Redbox streaming.
