Ryan Kessler

Ryan began his acting career in the theater, appearing in
"Sideman" (Meetinghouse Rep.); "A Few Good Men" and "A Comedy
of Errors" (River Rep.), "A Christmas Carol—A Ghost Story"
(Hartford Stage Company), and "Sixteen Wounded" (Long Wharf
Theatre).

A few years ago Ryan decided to shift his focus to film, and quickly
grabbed a principal role in his first feature, WHAT I WANT (dir. Andy
Blood). He went onto play leading roles in HAPPY BIRTHDAY (dir.
Jonathon Zelenak), PRACTICE (dir. Hue Rhodes), and SUBTERRANYA
(dir. Philip Farha). He also played a supporting role in the mockumentary ONE PER CENT (dir. David Parker), which won the Audience Award at the Vail Film Festival.

Most recently, he starred in PINKVILLE (dir. Steven Garbas), PINKVILLE had its world premiere at the Hollywood Film Festival, where it was a finalist for Best Drama.

Recently, Ryan was cast as John in an episode of THE VAMPIeE DIAIRES, and Parker in an episode of SOUTH OF HELL. HE currently teaches an acting program for teen actors at the Penny Templeton Studio.
