About Louis

Louis Gentile is a classically trained guitarist, composer, producer and versatile musician.

Television credits include, The Amazing Race, Martha Stewart Living, The Chelsea Lately

Show, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, and in film, BLAME (Tyler Chatel), The Death of Wales (Hawkeye

Farms Films) and Melting the Snowman (Ora Yashar) among many others. Composer Angelo Badalamenti has

referred to Louis Gentile as "a composer, arranger, orchestrator of very high quality".

Awards and honors include the SCL NY Composer Mentor Program, the Society of Composers and Lyricists (LA)

Songwriter Sing Out!, the BMI Film Composer Workshop, the Manhattan Producers Alliance Emerging

Talent and the ASCAP Composer Showcase for the ASCAP/Columbia University Film Composer's

Workshop. As a musician, Louis has worked in the productions of Summer '69 The Musical Happening, Honky-Tonk

Angel, High School Reunion:The Musical and the 30th anniversary revival of Godspell, with Stephen

Schwartz. Louis is currently an adjunct professor of music at Bergen Community College in Paramus,

New Jersey.
