Byron Werner

I have been a full time DP for almost ten years. I’ve been in the film industry much longer, starting at age 16 shooting video for Sega games. I was shooting green screen in 1992 long before it was an everyday occurrence on set.
I’m too young to be jaded, too experienced to be green.
I live for collaboration, bringing a director’s vision to life. I get up everyday to a new project. Over the years I have shot hundreds of commercials, corporate jobs, and more short films than I can count. With over 30 feature films under my belt I have learned how to shoot quickly and efficiently while still having fun in the process. I will continue to work on all forms of media, never falling out of love with film, while embracing all digital technology.
Most recently I shot the feature film Robotropolis on location in Singapore. I have shot numerous projects in 3D in the last few years, most notably “The Inspiration of Flight,” a theme park ride for the World’s Fair in Shanghai, China.
I will continue to use my intimate knowledge of the film craft to read a scene and create a visual language between the actors and the camera that will further the narrative. I place the camera in a position that will “dance with the actors”.
