I am a Japanese/Lebanese filmmaker, photographer and actor who performed Noh Theatre (Japanese traditional theatre) from the age of three. I majored in film at Temple University, Tokyo, and developed a wide portfolio of short documentaries and fiction films while acting (including lead-roles) in theatrical plays as well as on Japanese TV. My photographs have also been accepted in photo contests and exhibited in Japan.
I am passionate about shedding light on cross-generational matters. This passion led me to film eight survivors of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atom bomb that were dropped in Japan during the Second World War. Working as the official documentary filmmaker and photographer on the Peace Boat (a Japan based NGO that works to promote peace, human rights and development) on a voyage to sixteen different countries.
