About James

I have significant experience working in a number of different filming departments, so am aware of their needs and respective pressures, as well as being well versed in on set etiquette.

I have extensive experience using Final Draft, MovieMagic and Adobe products including Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. I have designed and produced content for a number of websites, using Wordpress, Wix and Squarespace. Recently I have used Final Draft and MovieMagic to prepare re-writes, sides for specific shooting days, call sheets and progress reports.

Having freelanced with a drone filmmaking company, I have assisted in carrying out risk assessments and health and safety checks which are vitally important in order to ensure that all parties are safe and that the company is covered.

I'm acutely aware of the important of remaining on budget and on schedule, in order to meet investors' and other stakeholders' expectations.

Having served as a 1st AD on a number of low budget shoots, I have liaised with cast and crew to ensure they are familiar with the locations and arrange transport where needed, in addition to preparing call sheets for the shoot itself.

I also have significant experience of working with distributors to ensure that productions have the necessary deliverables in order to save money and make the process as efficient as possible.

I also produce and co-host a weekly vlog which we post across a number of media platforms, we tailor each video to the specific platform in order for it to make the biggest impact.

I would say that my enthusiasm is one of my greatest strengths, working as part of a team both on and off set motivates me to go above and beyond what is required.
