About Dragan

Journalist, director, videographer, producer since 1998. Fields of interest - mainly social, political, history, economic and environmental issues in ex-Yugoslavia region. During his professional career he has cooperated with numerous national and international media outlets such as Radio 021, B92, Voice of America, WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk), NOS (Nederlandse Omroep Stichting), RTV Vojvodina, TV N1 (exclusive CNN affiliate in the region); Al Jazeera Balkans etc. Since 2011. founder of TV productions Greenfield (www.gf.rs) from Novi Sad, where he works as a producer and author. Assistant director to Želimir Žilnik on his film The Old School of Capitalism (Stara škola kapitalizma). His book Land, Oil and People – Testimonials About the Economic Growth of Vojvodina 1974-88 (Zemlja, nafta i ljudi - svedočenja o ekonomskom razvoju Vojvodine 1974/88) has been published in 2014. Since 2006 works with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on the project of documenting the testimonies about WW2 on the territories of Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Received the Golden Nika Award at the International reportage and Media Festival in 2013.
Twice nominated for the annual award of the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS) in 2015 for a series on corruption in agriculture and in 2017 for a documentary film about poaching quails in Serbia “Ravnica bez ptica-Land without Birds”. For the same film he was awarded by the EU investigative journalism award in 2017. Born on 18 November 1978 in Novi Sad. Got his degree in history from the Philosophical Faculty in Novi Sad. Lives in Novi Sad. Speaks English.
