MRS. CLAUS

MRS. CLAUS
By Audrey Wilson

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE: When the foul-mouthed, former ice road trucker Mrs. Claus gets fed-up with Santa taking her for granted, she visits her estranged daughter and granddaughter at their suburban Nevada home, stirring up some unwanted holiday mischief and dismantling the patriarchy of Christmas.

SYNOPSIS:

I'd like you to visualize Mrs. Claus. Sweet, smiling, cookie-baking Mrs. Claus. Now, visualize her as a foul-mouthed, former ice road trucker who's reached the end of her rope just a short month before Christmas. Fed-up with her lazy, passive-aggressive husband taking her for granted, Mrs. Claus leaves Santa and her life in the North Pole to stay with her estranged daughter and granddaughter at their suburban Nevada home. Here, she stirs up unwanted holiday mischief, much to her daughter's dismay, and attempts to dismantle the patriarchy of Christmas. MRS. CLAUS is an R-rated, feminist, holiday comedy that follows this iconic character like you've never seen her before. Part BRIDESMAIDS, part UNCLE BUCK, MRS. CLAUS tackles sexism with a lot of comedy and a little bit of heart.
