LOGLINE:

The depressed, eldest daughter of Nigerian immigrants struggles to befriend the only girl that could salvage her complicated relationship with her abusive mother.

SYNOPSIS:

Early 2000s Oak Cliff. The Emekas, a family of Nigerian immigrants, seek help from the Mbaise Association of Dallas after their house gets burglarized by two Latino boys. The family becomes convinced by the Mbaise association to move towns, but moving onto Pueblo Drive creates a clash between not two, but three cultures. The series centers around NIA OGECHI EMEKA, but we follow each sibling as they deal with their individual yet heavily intertwined struggles.
