Aconda Williams

Starting as a reserved girl with glasses and braces I’ll say I used writing my entire life. Molded by my small town in Syracuse, NY, I desired more. I always asked lots of questions as a kid about why things were a certain way. I also knew I wasn’t your typical kid.
With a passion for storytelling, I sought to create work beyond me.

I started to write because the pen and paper never judged me. Even the craziest ideas could be written on paper and somehow, they made sense. At the age of 21, I was forced to leave college because I suffered from chronic migraines and blindness in my eyes. While being home without a job or the ability to work a full-time job, writing found me again. At first the stories weren’t coming together.

Eventually, my personal and professional goals led me to a creative career with modeling first and now screenwriting. I learned the power of self-education. First during my high school years while dealing with an invisible disability with migraines and now with filmmaking.

After completing my first pilot, this year, I realized it’s just the beginning! Just like any show, you can’t miss the beginning. My beginning started when I dropped out of college. I used writing to begin my creative career.

I intend to continue writing stories that are compelling and leave the audience inspired and empowered. I take to writing dramas and I’d like to ensure my characters are raw, very human-like, and have a backstory just like the rest of us. I’m glad writing found me again because storytelling is where I feel the most alive.

Currently, I'm looking to continue to learn and expand upon my education and network. My long-term goal is to write for tv and develop stories for a global audience that resonates. Maybe I’d like to challenge the status quo and create more work that is not seen on TV. Since I'm new to screenwriting, my biggest thing is learning as much as possible. Very excited to connect with more creatives on Stage 32:)
