About Steve

Steve Grandinetti is an internationally acclaimed recording & performing artist, multi-instrumentalist (Piano, Organ, Clavinet, Guitars, Bass, Drums, Harmonica, Melodica, Percussion) and BMI affiliated Singer-Songwriter, Producer, and Arranger with four solo releases; "Jonjano’ Baro’" 2011, "Heart Of Me"2012, "Only Love Is Real"2013, and his tour de force “My American Heart” 2014. Number 1 on the Reverbnation singer-songwriter charts, he is a consummate performer, who never fails to thrill his audience with humor, stage antics, exceptional guitar & keyboard playing, soulful singing and amazing drumming. Experienced in performance, theater, film and studio recording, this well rounded and multi-faceted artist brings his professionalism, passion and heart to any and all situations.
He has performed with legends like The Neville Brothers, Lil Buck Senegal, Henry Gray, Paul Rishell & Annie Raines, Don Mock, Jay Roberts, shared the stage with NRBQ, The Band, Willie Nelson, Rosie Ledet & the Zydeco Playboys, Walter Trout, Deborah Coleman, Ben Rice, The Goo Goo Dolls and other greats. He has performed in New York, NY, New Orleans, LA, Philadelphia,PA, Seattle,WA, Portland,OR, Los Angeles,CA, San Antonio,TX, Omaha,NE, Boston,MA, upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Oregon,and all over Washington State. He is planning his first European/Russian Tour for November and December 2015.
2014 found him in a new role as Sound Designer for KCPT's production of “King Lear” for which he composed and performed music, as he did for the feature film “Johnny Suede”. He has and continues to record for several indie artists on piano, organ, clavinet, drums, percussion, including The Harmonica Pocket – Apple Apple and Jeff Wittekind – Instrumental Growth.
Steve’s music is heard internationally on radio stations in the USA- on KISM (Bremerton/Seattle,WA), Crescent City Radio (New Orleans, LA), Massive Vybz 91.9 FM Reggae Station (Bronx, NYC), WEQX (Vermont/New York), KPFT (Houston,TX) KBRW (Alaska), KPTZ (Port Townsend,WA), Spotlite Radio (NYC) , Truclassics Radio(Los Angeles,CA),Canada -Banana Peel Radio, Germany - 98.eins, the Netherlands -Radio Ridderkerk, Austria -Radio-Kontrekrebs, HitRadio 03 & Radio-Powervoice, , Great Britain- .uk, Switzerland- , and internet stations IMRadio, and Jango Radio. He has a licensing deal with LA Sound who is selling his music in Japan, and a distribution deal with VP Records NYC. He is on the roster at Best Entertainment,inc. Steve played 160 shows in 2011, and 290 shows in 2012, and 196 shows in 2013, 150 shows in 2014. He is preparing his first European Tour, and will perform solo in Germany, Austria, Holland and England, and working with GRB Music & Show in Armenia for his first tour of the former Soviet Union – Russia, Ukraine, Belarus-which will connect with the European tour scheduled for Fall 2016.
Besides performing solo and with his band, Steve is also playing jazz drums (his focus in music school) in the Galaxy Trio with jazz legends Rickey Kelly on vibraphone, and Phil Sparks on bass since 2014.
He is also an educator, teaching piano, drums, bass, guitar, vocals, theory & ear training, songwriting and band classes. He has taught and performed at Centrum’s Blues Workshop and School Of Rock. He studied music at Manhattan School Of Music Prep Division, Fordham University, Julliard School Of Music, graduating from Loyola University in New Orleans with a B.A. in psychology & music. He also holds a M.S.Ed from the University of Pennsylvania in Counseling Psychology. He also studied film at NYU Film School, Photography at The New School, acting at Tulane University, and attended Adelphi University, and Loyola Law School.
