About Dan

Dan is a freelance Music Producer, Songwriter, Musician and Proprietor of Why Me? Studios in Streamwood IL (just outside of Chicago).

As a music producer/songwriter, Dan has worked with or is working with Promiseland Children’s Ministry at Willow Creek Community Church, Kids Hope USA, GO! Curriculum, Galaxy Starz, Animated Praise, Keys for Kids Radio, Jesus in Jeans Jr., Christian Youth Theater, National Youth Theater, and Spotlight Youth Theater, to name a few.

Also, Dan is currently the Publisher of Singin’ Praise Kids, worship music for preschoolers and grade school kids. From quiet, reflective praise songs to toe-tappin’, hand clappin’ all-out worship celebrations, Singin’ Praise Kids has it all!

Dan is also a jingle/theme writer in the technology podcast-sphere. His credits include several jingles/themes for Leo LaPorte’s, TWiT.tv network. Including The New Screen Savers, Tech News Today, Android App Arena, iOS Today, Know How..., Triangulation, and more.

And theme songs and jingles for that "same dumb show", the Giz Wiz with hosts OMGChad and Mad Magazine’s Maddest writer and the Giz Wiz, Dick DeBartolo.

With a career that spans over 30 years, Dan has worked with several Chicago-based musical groups such as XTC, Drive, Kelly and the Playmakers, The Stay Tuned Orchestra, and Willow Creek Community Church. Dan’s work includes playing bass with noted artist’s such as Darlene Czech, Laura Hall, Tommy Walker, John Carlson, and Kirk Whalum, among others.

A behind the scenes kind of guy, Dan plays a fantastic supporting role; letting the music take center stage. For this reason, whether it’s writing a marketing jingle, producing a podcast, or putting together background music for a video project, working with Dan is always easy and fun. He genuinely wants you to enjoy the development process and be ecstatically happy with the end result.
