About Yad

Yad Deen is a multi award-winning filmmaker from London. He spent over four years in Iraq producing documentaries and working as a photographer, and has completed his debut short live-action film, Carga, in 2018. Carga had its world premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard last August as an official selection at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in August 2018, was nominated at the largest and longest running horror film festival in the US, Screamfest LA, among many others and continues its festival tour.

Yad is now between Iraq and England, developing a slate of film and television projects in both countries.
