A military officer and family man returns home after nearly dying on duty only to realize his family has left him. Life passes him by until he finds himself dining with the underworld.

SYNOPSIS:

MAX GUNNER, a 3rd Infantry Army Corporal, is about to embark on his 3rd deployment of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Max is a devoted family man living out of Bayonne, NJ, that will be leaving behind a wife, MARY ANN GUNNER, and a daughter, RACHEL GUNNER. He joined the military to display his patriotism and security for his family. Max and his unit were previously deployed for 2 short term missions, but he has been fortunate to come home safe each time.

During tour, while escorting a transport, Max and his team are attacked by Iraqi militant insurgents. Max and his squad are able to hold off their position and eliminate all enemy combatants. They continue on injured and complete their mission arriving at another base, where they are treated for casualties. While being treated, he receives a letter from his wife stating she is no longer able to hold down the household alone and is moving on with their daughter. Infuriated, Max tries to get compliance from his Captain for an early leave of tour, but is denied.

6 months later, Max eventually returns home, but it's empty. Only a few family photos and infant toys remain. He leaves, packing only a minimal amount of clothing and baby pictures of his daughter. Max eventually, ends up sleeping in various parking lots and street corners, unable to find work due to being strongly diagnosed with PTSD (post traumatic-stress disorder).

12 years without making any contact with his family, Max's new family ends up being homeless friends he meets along his journey. On one particular day, a bunch of thugs beats up one of his homeless colleagues, he intervenes in the situation. A local mob boss, MIKEY GIANCARLO, witnessed the incident and summons Max. Mikey gives Max a proposition to work for him as muscle, which could help him get back on his feet. Once the deal was set, Mikey sends Max off to a discrete location in Pennsylvania for hand tactics and weapons training.

After 3 months of training, Max returns to Bayonne to do various gigs collecting money for Mikey and protecting the prostitutes for Mikey's escort service ring. Things get out of hand when a rival Lebanese mob member, rapes one of Mikey's escorts. Finding the member's whereabouts, Max readily equipped, infiltrates his hangout killing every member inside. Before leaving he notices one of the T.V.'s is on. Broadcasted is a talent show with a female lead singer explicitly singing the same song Max use to sing to his daughter. Now Max has a reason to believe this could be the key to finding his daughter Rachel, but in the midst of a new mob war that is about to begin.
