I/O is a music theater piece that was premiered in Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in February 2013, as part of the project An Evening of Today. The excerpt features a quintet, formed by a mix of jazz and classical musicians. Decided to be inclusive, we worked intensively all together on the material and the gestures I brought in the rehearsals, in a way that was rather oral than score oriented.
