About Michael

Based in Montreal, I'm a 23 years old writer/director/producer that specializes in genre cinema. I've always devoted my heart and soul to movies ever since I was little. For me, genre movies are not just a pale pastiche of reality, they are living and breathing entities capable of redefining what surrounds us. Fantasy is for me a means of entering unimaginable world while talking about our own. My deep love for cinema inspired me to start film studies in 2014 in order to specialize in writing and directing. During those three years of film school, I wrote and directed two short films: Ratskin (2016) and Black Beast (2017), two films that explore the awakening to violence and real world horrors during childhood. My films have been in a dozen festivals including some of the biggest in Canada.

At the beginning of 2018, I started my own production company dedicated to mystery in all its forms; it's called From Outer Space Films. Our first production, Le Otto Dita Della Morte (2018), an hommage to Giallo cinema, had its premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival. We are currently hard at work and focused on making the viewer discover the unsuspected facets of reality through eclectic, unusual and larger than life productions.

Oh and I'm also a graphic designer specialized in movie posters and branding. I worked on multiple short film projects and I'm about to design my first feature film poster.
