A broken-hearted man, after inadvertently saving the life of a Hollywood starlet, enlists her help in an extraordinary plan all to win back his ex-girlfiend.

SYNOPSIS:

This is a story of a regular guy, living a regular life, trying to be a regular boyfriend, and working hard to keep a regular job. But what is about to happen to him is so far from regular that it turns his life into a modern-day fairytale of comedic proportions.

JACOB SOLOMON is a talented technical writer with a good personality and a big heart, if a little on the nerdy side. Jacob’s been dating his pretty co-worker, MEGAN, for over a year, and as far as he’s concerned, everything is running smoothly. Until Megan lets him know that she wants more than his average life. And she’s found it in HAYDEN, the rich and handsome son of their boss at the company they both work for, leaving Jacob absolutely devastated.

Days later, when Jacob spots Megan and Hayden approaching the coffee shop where he’s drowning his sorrows in caffeine and pastry, he panics. To avoid confronting them, he follows a female coffee patron out through the back door. As he and the woman exit to the alley, Jacob sees a large air condenser about to come crashing down. He saves this woman in the nick of time, only to realize she is not just some woman, but the hugely popular movie star, REBECCA DANIELS. His heroics are captured on various smart phones which inevitably leads to Jacob appearing on the Today Show.

Rebecca’s assistant, EMILY, suggests she take this knight in khaki chino armor to dinner as a solid PR move. Jacob’s time in the spotlight and his dinner invite with Rebecca spawns much desired attention from Megan, and gives KARL, Jacob’s brother, an idea on how Jacob might win her back.

During Jacob’s dinner with Rebecca, the two hit it off, leading Jacob to nervously pop the question, from Karl’s bidding, if she will act as though she is Jacob’s new girlfriend to make Megan jealous in the hopes that she’ll come back to him. It’s a ridiculous idea Rebecca doesn’t have time to entertain but seeing how sad and desperate he is she agrees to go along with the scheme. It works beautifully. The more they are seen together on dates, at premieres, and with each mention she makes of him, while giving interviews as well as making surprise appearances at his job the more Megan starts having a change of heart about which man, she’d rather be with. And, as Rebecca continues the arrangement, she secretly falls for this guy, becoming jealous of Jacob’s unrelenting affection for Megan.

When Rebecca’s obnoxious ex-boyfriend and co-star, COLIN, returns from a location shoot abroad, and gets the truth about her and Jacob’s arrangement, it almost spells disaster for Jacob’s plan. But, despite Colin’s meddling, Jacob gets what he thinks he wants — Megan back in his life — only to realize he is actually now in love with Rebecca.

Jacob employs several hilarious shenanigans to find a way to reach Rebecca before she heads to Australia for to film her next project. He finally finds her back at the Hollywood movie set, where he professes his love for Rebecca in front of the entire crew and frustrated director. Fulfilling Jacob’s hope, Rebecca admits her love for him, and suggests he accompany her to Australia as she wants him with her. He happily accepts.
