Michael William Bell

A highly creative, communicative and dedicated individual with an obsession and keen passion for music and sound within film and digital media arts. Proficient or familiar with a vast range of industry standard computer based recording systems, contemporary scoring techniques, concepts and terminologies.

Having recently completed an (FdA) in Music Production at the University of Brighton, I have decided to delve further into the industry by dedicating my final year to the “Music Composition for Film and Media” Bachelor of Music course also held at Brighton University.

In 2011 while still studying, I successfully composed original music and sound design for a short film entitled “Francis” and collaborated with local band “Demental” to produce, record, mix and master their single “Hatriotism” which has been released digitally through iTunes.

I am now hungry for new scoring projects, and would be interested in networking with professionals within the film, TV, video game, documentary and other digital media industries. I am also wanting to connect with musicians interested in session work in which their performances are recorded for film scores.

My previous career experience in software testing has given me a very technical mind, great communication skills, the ability to troubleshoot and a keen attention to detail; skills I feel are essential within the film music industry.
