LOGLINE:

While clothes shopping in a department store, Mit experiences a bizarre phenomenon when he touches a display mirror. This is followed by an even more freakish event that transcends our known universe.

SYNOPSIS:

Mit is shopping and gazes into a mirror admiring a jacket he tried on. Something seems odd that distracts him. Mit’s instincts tell him something isn’t right. He feels it but isn’t able to see it. Puzzled, Mit approaches the mirror and reaches toward the edge. Suddenly, a strong shock and blinding flash of light knocks him to the floor. As he regains consciousness, a peculiar thing occurs. Mit’s voice is broadcast through all nearby electronic devices—phones, intercom, radios—anything with a speaker. The phenomenon heightens as Mit approaches the cashier to complete his purchase. Disoriented and frightened, the ensuing commotion with the cashier, onlookers and a store security guard in pursuit causes Mit to hurry home.

The phenomenon follows Mit as he hurriedly walks home—with a passerby who asks Mit for the time and with a resident he encounters while entering the lobby of his apartment building. Finally reaching the safety of his apartment, Mit catches his breath. His relief is short lived as anytime he utters a word his voice booms through nearby devices with a speaker. As night approaches, Mit lies in bed staring at the ceiling. He utters a few words hoping his nightmare has finally ended only to curse out loud when it has not. Mit’s anxiety follows him into REM sleep where a vivid nightmare has a reoccurring theme—the mirror!

The next day, Mit returns to the place where the phenomenon occurred. Nervously looking around with all appearing normal, he again approaches the mirror and reaches toward the mirror’s edge. As soon as his finger makes contact he is enveloped in a blinding light and electric shock. Our POV shifts to Tim, his reflective self (doppelganger) that lives in a parallel universe. It is in this parallel universe that we discover an unexpected and shocking difference between Mit and Tim.

Stephan, I'd start with an interesting adjective that describes your protagonist (Mit, I assume), one that enhances "bizarre"... and I'd only use "bizarre" once... find another word to replace it the 2nd time around.

A tad late in my reply but yes... agree with your comments.
