HUSK

A dystopian tale about a woman who risks it all to have a child, despite natural births being outlawed.
SYNOPSIS:
HUSK is a short, Lo-Fi Thriller set in the not too distant future. Curbing the rampant overpopulation has become the responsibility of the government. Thanks to their ban on natural births several years ago, Earth has been stabilized from environmental collapse, but continues to teeter in the balance.
Our protagonist, Gwen, is a good, law-abiding citizen. However, all she’s ever wanted to do is be a mother, and now, being in her late thirties, time is against her.
She manages to take matters into her own hands and become pregnant in secret. However, despite her best efforts, she is soon found out and has to escape those who threaten to take her choice of having children away for good.
