Alix Austin is an award-winning Filmmaker, focusing on female-led, diversity driven narrative films.
Initially training as an Actress at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly RSAMD), she soon found her love for working behind the camera, as well as in front of it.
Born in England and raised in Switzerland, she speaks both English and German fluently. She has directed, written and produced music videos and short films including Best Film winning #conniesflat and Raindance shortlisted Webseries Jess & Tess Solve Shit.
In 2016 she shot True Value, which was funded by the
Bruce Millar Trust starring Red Madrell (Kidulthood, Skins), which has toured festivals such the Underwire, LIFF and BFI's Women of the World Festival.
