About Johan

I am a creative and innovative filmmaker with a passion for telling meaningful stories through visuals. I possess an imaginative artistic vision and a great sense of aesthetics, which is complemented by a love for direction and cinematography, and a fervent appreciation for the inherent beauty of life and nature.

My technical and creative understanding of the filmmaking process has been extensively developed throughout my professional training and personal works. Studying BA (Hons) Contemporary Media Practice at the University of Westminster enabled me to gain experience across film, video, photography and new media.

My interest lies in both fictional and documentary filmmaking. Fiction allows me to create an imaginary world and give life to fictitious characters, while incorporating philosophies and ideas, however fantastic they may seem. On the other hand, documentary filmmaking allows me to cinematically illustrate the things that fascinate me and that I love about the world we live in.

My directorial and general creative skills are highly enhanced by my background in Dramatic Arts. Furthermore, my fluency in spoken and written Swedish, French and English allows me work with a diverse range of people and express my thoughts with great variety.
