My obsession with everything film related started while I was finishing my BA Drama degree at university and was introduced to the cinematic language and how to use it.
I was absolutely fascinated by everything that goes into making a film work from the script all the way through to the mise-en-scene of the shots and how the scores and music can be used to tie everything together. So when I had to choose a field to specialize in, video editing fit quite nicely into my exploration of the cinematic landscape. I went on to do my Honours in video production which I received in 2015.
Since graduating in 2015, I spent some time interning and freelancing and am currently working as a Video Editor at a company that creates e-learning content for distance learning. I also did some data wrangling for two pilots and a short film.
Although my passion is film and theatre I also enjoy making 2D animations, colour grading and creating short how-to youtube videos. I enjoy writing about my favorite films and tv series, exploring and recognizing what I like about them and how this inspires me as a video editor.
I also try to keep expanding my skillset by learning new skills, mastering new software and continously expanding my range of video editing projects.
