About Becky

Hi,
My name is Becky Balsano. I am a screenwriter and have also composed music for films. At the moment, my goal is to post my feature film, Inherited Insanity, on IMDB and on the website for viewing. Inherited Insanity is an independent film that I wrote and produced in 2014. Unfortunately after 27 days of filming and 2 plus years of editing, I found myself in the place where so many first time filmmakers find themselves...not budgeting enough for post production. This was a painful but highly valuable lesson. There was so much joy actually making the film, the obstacles encountered along the way, rarely felt like obstacles. That's how you know you are doing what you love. The process sparks the spirit in an exciting way and years later I am shocked that I even had the courage to make it.

At present, I have completed an animation Pixar style musical feature screenplay, with 10 songs written by my brother, as well as 3 pilots for series TV, (now writing further episodes for each of them). I'm so happy to be a part of Stage 32 and it's so thrilling to see so many creative people following their dreams and satisfying their souls. I had a great first time pitch experience here on Stage 32 and look forward to the opportunity to engage in more of them. I wish everyone here, good writing, directing, composing, producing and acting, or whatever it is that lights you up. Happy people make a happy world.
