Lakyle Thomas, the eldest of 8 siblings was born July 12th 1985 in Lagrange, Ga. His mother worked as a hair stylist and his father was a truck driver. In 1990, Lakyle’s parents relocated his family to Atlanta, Ga and it was at that time, he decided that he wanted to be an actor. Lakyle always had a love for the camera and at the tender age of 5, he began acting in school plays. Upon entering high school at Tri Cities, Lakyle began honing in on another skill of his, which landed him a full football scholarship to play at Fort Valley College. Lakyle was a film and communications major.
Although¸ Lakyle was great at Football it was not his passion. Following his real dream Lakyle decided to put college on hold to pursue a career in acting. While pursuing his acting career, Lakyle gained popularity by modeling in multiple fashion shows and being the spokes model for Sean John, Zone 4, Bronner brothers, and many more. In 2012, Lakyle made his theatrical debut in the stage Play “Hem of His Garmet” where he blew audience’s away. Lakyle has appeared in various hit TV shows such as VH1’s “Single Ladies and USA’s sitcom “Necessary Roughness”. He has also appeared in a national commercial for Delta products.
In his leisure time, Lakyle enjoys singing, swimming, traveling, working out, basketball, tennis and spending time with his family.
