Gareth Hughes was Wales' very first Hollywood silent film star. I always knew about him through the many stories my grandmother told me when I was a young boy. She was in fact his cousin. Gareth was born in 1894 in Llanelli West Wales and died at a actors retirement in Wood Land Hills California
