This is my Story. . .
I’m Alan White, and I’m an actor who can find the truth in the moment.
So far I’ve had the chance to appear in commercials, TV movies, indie films including The Drachen Recruitment Project and Tell-Tale, and, countless plays.
I’ve been lucky enough to play a wide range of characters. Many of my roles are professional characters, like businessmen, programmers, and critics, and I admit I look good in a suit. Many other roles are fantasy characters including, ninjas, knights, and pirates. . . I look even better with a sword.
I studied theater at UMass Amherst and also trained with Another County Productions, C.P. Casting, Actors Connection, and TVI Studios.
In my heart of hearts I’m 1 part fan boy, 1 part history geek, and all swashbuckler. As a kid I wanted to be a knight of the round table, one of Robin Hood’s merry men, and Spider-man all at the same time. I love information about early American history and collect gory and odd trivia. And one of my favorite memories is fencing in the SCA to the sound of live pipes and drums.
Storytelling in all its forms can effect people so deeply. It’s one of the best things about acting, you don’t know how or if your audience will be moved to feel by your work but when they are you feel like you’ve given something of yourself.
But this was my story.
Let’s tell a new one together.
