A worldly woman wants out of her job from a group home for the mentally ill, but stays to become their advocate, only to find resistance from the residents and the group home's owner.

SYNOPSIS:

Movie inspired by my actual experience working at a group home for those with mental illness.

Cecelia Heart loses her boyfriend and job on the same day. She moves in with her mother, but clashes with mother. Enlighten Homes needs help, and Cecelia applies. She is hired on the spot. Quickly she discovers she has made a mistake. Working with the mentally ill isn’t what she signed on for. She remains, but is minimally involved with the residents as she trudges through job searches and resume polishing.

Two other staff members never show up, and the owner of the home refuses to hire anyone else. Cecelia feels compelled to stay, but on her terms. She is going to fix the residents and fix the house.

It all backfires.
