Charlotte Farnell

My name is Charlie and I am a recent graduate from the Northern Film School in Leeds where I specialised in Production Design. My interests in the art department are quite varied, I love set dressing and prop making/sourcing and I also enjoy making set models, using 3D set design software, budgetting, costume sourcing and general organisation in the art department.

I have always had a huge interest in acting and before going to university it was all I ever wanted to do. Having been on the other side of the camera I can appreciate both roles from both points of view. In the art department I use my knowledge and understanding of acting to source props and design sets that are perfect for the character and to ensure that any prop or costume idea is suitable for the character's personality or relevant to a specific company....in the opposite way now when I act I use my surroundings a lot more and am far more aware of what is expected of me as an actor on set. I have a lot of patience for the crew and am very aware of costume, set, camera, lighting, composition, aesthetics and even how to communicate better on set with many different departments.
