A couple who suffers several miscarriages decides to try therapy to repair their strained marriage. However, their therapist wants the husband for herself and is willing to kill for him.

SYNOPSIS:

Kamella and Jarrod Stephens have been unsuccessful at their attempt to have children. Each pregnancy ends with a miscarriage and as a result, their marriage is strained. Jarrod, a former NBA player turned high school basketball coach and athletic director, is trying hard not to resort to his former ways, but the distance between him and Kamella is driving him into the arms of another woman. Meanwhile, Kamella continues to sink into a deep depression over the loss of her child and with her family living thousands of miles away, she feels helpless and alone.

Kamella, who is seeking therapy for her depression, invites Jarrod to join her for couple’s therapy. Reluctantly, Jarrod agrees to therapy and the couple meets with Kamella’s therapist, Dr. Ferguson. However, when they return for their follow-up appointment, Dr. Ferguson is not there. Instead, a mystery woman named Dr. Bennett is there. Dr. Bennett insists she has been hired by Dr. Ferguson to cover his patients while he tends to a family emergency out of town.

Kamella and Dr. Bennett become fast friends but Jarrod is suspicious of the quick bond between them. It doesn’t take long as Jarrod’s suspicions are proven true when Dr. Bennett hits on him. Dr. Bennett drives a wedge between Jarrod and Kamella when she forces Jarrod to disclose his affair with Michelle, causing Kamella to walk out on Jarrod.

In the meantime, Dr. Bennett tries to kill Michelle and frames Kamella for the crime. When Kamella goes to jail, Dr. Bennett tries to move in on Jarrod but Jarrod isn’t having it. Jarrod can see straight through Dr. Bennett so he tries to convince the police to look at her for trying to kill Michelle. It doesn’t take long before pieces to the puzzle start to come together, with the first being the disappearance of Dr. Ferguson. When the police put watchful eyes on Dr. Bennett, they discover Dr. Ferguson’s body in Dr. Bennett’s parking garage.

Michelle recovers from her wounds and tells the police that Kamella isn’t the one who tried to kill her. Dr. Bennett is spiraling out of control as the police are now closing in on her. When Dr. Bennett slips past the police and holds Kamella and Jarrod at gunpoint in their home, a fight ensues between Kamella and Dr. Bennett but not before she accidentally shoots Jarrod.

In the end, Dr. Bennett is killed, all charges against Kamella are dropped and Kamella and Jarrod become parents via a surrogate.
