WAIT A MINUTE MR. POSTMAN
By LaKesa Cox

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE:

A recently widowed baby boomer, who happens to be a postal worker, is forced to learn how to navigate through life without his wife. Even though his adult kids are there to support him, he struggles to balance work, his new family dynamic and being single again after 30 years. Think Fred Sanford 15 years younger.

SYNOPSIS:

At 55, DAVID LEWIS, a handsome and comical widower, spends his days working as a mail carrier in a southern, suburban town where all of his customers know him by name. He likes his job but is looking forward to retirement in the near future. He’d planned to grow old alongside his wife of 30 years, NORA until her untimely death. Nora’s death from cancer turns David’s world upside down, shattering all the plans they once shared.

Nora was the backbone of the Lewis family and managed to keep the household running smoothly. So much so that mediocre tasks David relied on Nora to handle for him are now somewhat of challenge - things like using the Kuerig and sending emails. He never realized before how much he relied on Nora to take care of him and their adult children WHITNEY (25) and DJ (28).
