About David

I have been acting since I left school in 1984 doing Amateur Dramatics and Live Interactive Events.

I first started professional acting at Nevendon Manor Events in Wickford, Basildon, Essex in 2014 performing  in live interactive theatre.   During my time there I was also involved in set and Prop Building, Make up and Special Effects.   I had various acting roles in the following productions including Zombies, Jack The Ripper and Sweeney Todd at Halloween,  Herr Gloop in Wonka,  The King of Hearts in Alice and The Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz, The Search for Toto.

I then progressed and signed up with various Agencies as an extra to attain insight in the Film and Television Industry, where I gained experience in screen acting techniques and etiquette.  (A list of Films and TV appearances appear in my Filmography).  Following my time as an extra I then landed paid roles in various student films, shorts and independent feature films, which allowed me to register with Spotlight and acquire an Agent.

During this time I auditioned for the role of Lieutenant Gruber at The Brookside Theatre, Romford, Essex in their production of Allo Allo and was fortunate to be offered the role.  My performance of this character  was so well received that the management and directors invited me back to play a double role of Constable McDonald and Mrs Tromleyton in their adaptation of the well known film, The Ladykillers.

I am involved with the Actors Centre, based in London, doing workshops and courses to further aid my abilities and acting skills, to help me progress further in the acting industry.
