About Jerry

After a decade helping filmmakers from around the world plan their projects, Jerry Day has recently returned to the day-to-day world of production.

Jerry served as a film commissioner in the central Sierra Nevada, identifying locations, crew and resources for hundreds of productions and guiding them through a myriad of rules and regulations. His clients included NBC, PBS, and the BBC, commercials for Porsche, Jeep, and Bridgestone, and Discovery, History, and Travel Channel series. He also led several non-profit organizations including serving as Chairman of Film Liaisons in California, Statewide (FLICS) and as Secretary of the Association of Film Commissioners, International (AFCI). He holds a Certified Film Commissioner (CFC) credential and consults on film regulation and cross-cultural issues.

Jerry spent the previous decade in broadcasting, producing daily video content for TechTV, Yahoo!, and CBS. While working as supervising producer, Yahoo! FinanceVision won the Webby Award for Best Broadband Website and an Innovation Award from the Columbia School of Journalism. He is well-versed in both technology and financial news and has a particular interest in the environment. Jerry holds a degree in Broadcasting from San Francisco State University.
