B.U.D. – BUSTIN’ UNIDENTIFIED DUDES

B.U.D. – BUSTIN’ UNIDENTIFIED DUDES
By Christine Locker And Lee Ann Riddle

GENRE: Sci-fi, Comedy
LOGLINE:

When a teen is blamed for his date's abduction, he sets out to find her and prove that aliens don't exist.

SYNOPSIS:

Pahrump, Nevada, is the home of Late Night Talk Radio, where ninety

percent of the town's folk believe aliens will invade at any moment.

BUD (17), a teen with ambitions of being someone great one day, but no

means to do it, struggles to find his place in the madness.

Bud circumstantially (says the wrong thing to the wrong person at the

wrong time) winds up with an unwanted date to the high school dance -

MARGOT (17), the town’s make-up guru.

Much to Bud's relief, Margot ditches him for an older man. But things

get out of hand, when Margot's brother demands that Bud find her... or

else.

When Margot's bag is found beside a crop circle, presumably left by

aliens, Bud is blamed for her disappearance, by her parents as well as

the entire community.

Stricken with guilt, Bud realizes that he needs to find Margot and

prove to the town and his idiotic friend, RONNY (17), that aliens

don't exist.

They head out to Area 51, where they encounter the Men in Black. Bud's

need to find a rest room, leads them to the town, Rachel, and Margot

is found alive and well, and very much a changed girl. Bud finds

himself oddly drawn to her now.

To save face, Margot begs Bud not to tell that she ran off with a guy

who turned out to be an asshole. Instead, they tell the town a story

about how heroic Bud fought off the aliens to save her.

Bud is hailed as the town's hero, until the aliens really sweep into

town, and take Bud and Ronny prisoner.
